Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 17, 2026
Montecito Ventures (“we,” “us”) operates montecitoventures.com. This policy explains what information we collect through this website and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Information you send us. When you submit a pitch, we collect your name, email address, company name and stage, any website or deck link you include, and your message.
- Technical information. Our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical data, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit. We also record the IP address of form submissions to prevent spam and abuse.
We don’t use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don’t track you across other websites.
How we use it
We use the information you submit to review your pitch, contact you about it, and keep a record of our conversations. We use technical information only to run and protect the site.
How we share it
We don’t sell or rent your information. Your submission is reviewed by the Montecito Ventures partners. We use service providers to run the site, including our web host and email provider, who handle information on our behalf. The site also loads fonts from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when you visit. We may disclose information if required by law.
Confidentiality
Please don’t include confidential or proprietary information in your pitch. We review many companies, some of which may be similar to yours, and we can’t accept an obligation of confidentiality for unsolicited submissions.
How long we keep it
We keep pitch submissions as long as we need them to evaluate your company and for our records. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information you’ve sent us by filling out this form. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no website or email transmission is completely secure.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
